Fred Daou was born in Ottawa, Ontario, but he lived on and off in Toronto during his life. He attended York University where he completed an undergraduate degree. He is passionate about animals, taking the time to photograph them. He is skilled at making art; Fred draws inspiration from maps, nature, and popular characters to create his own. He enjoys music and dance.
